Two men, Chris Smithe and Brian Tremont, walked into a dimly lit bar on a Friday night, looking for some drinks to unwind after a long workweek. They took a seat at the counter and ordered a couple of beers.
As they sipped their drinks, they noticed a small crowd forming around a game of darts in the corner of the room. Curious, they decided to check it out. A young man in a lavish suit was offering a large, and undisclosed amount of money to the winner of the game. Chris and Brian had played darts before, but they were far from experts. Chris was feeling lucky and decided to give it a shot, unaware of what would happen next.
After several rounds, Chris managed to make it to the final round. The two men were both shocked and excited at the prospect of winning the grand prize. As Chris stepped up to the dartboard, they both felt the eyes of the entire bar upon them. With trembling hands, Chris threw his darts. On the last throw, hist dart hit the bullseye, and the entire bar erupted in cheers.
Overwhelmed with excitement about the competition, Chris and Brian hugged each other, not realizing that they had just become what some in the bar that night called “the luckiest men alive.” As the whole bar seemed to be celebrating, the young man who started the challenge, motioned to the duo and walked out of the bar. The two men followed him and were greeted by a limousine parked out front. Witnesses that night still talk about the stroke of luck that Chris Smithe and Brian Tremont would likely never forget.
